leading by example
Since our inception, promoting energy efficiency and achieving zero emission buildings has been at the forefront of Utah Clean Energy’s work. When it was time to find a permanent home for Utah Clean Energy, it was imperative that we led by example.
Thanks to a generous gift from The Alternative Visions Fund, in 2020, Utah Clean Energy purchased an unassuming 2,988 square foot building, embarking on a journey to create not just an office space, but a beacon of sustainable design: the Climate Innovation Center.
This project embodies our dedication to transforming buildings to be ultra-energy efficient, zero energy, and emission-free. By crafting a space that prioritizes energy efficiency, solar energy, water conservation, low-carbon materials, grid interaction, and more, we aim to set a precedent for buildings that contribute positively to the health of our climate.

In addition to being Utah Clean Energy’s headquarters, the Climate Innovation Center is a showcase and teaching tool to illustrate the potential to dramatically reduce pollution, as well as inspire our community to reimagine the places we live and work.
